Mystery surrounds this circa 1910s Hughie Jennings uncatalogued proof card. Measuring nearly 2 x 2-3/4", this turn-of-the-century Type of the Detroit Tigers Hall of Famer has been nestled for decades in an advanced collection. The batting pose of "Ee-Yah!" displays significant creasing throughout and is printed on a wafer-thin paper stock. As a point of reference, in May 2024, Hunt Auctions sold a 12-player uncut sheet for $30,000 picturing the exact Jennings pose with his given name being misspelled. However, instead of being printed with a red cap and team logo, this possible one-of-a-kind relic pictures Jennings with proper uniform coloring and correct spelling. Perhaps, at a later date, more information will shed some light on this enigmatic issue. Opening Bid $250.
