Anything coming from Jackie Robinson's first big league season, is worth much more than its weight in gold. A golden opportunity arises here, with this 1947 Acme Telephoto Type III photograph of Robinson's first MLB home run. Robinson is seen crossing the plate, after launching a bomb to deep left field off of New York Giants hurler Dave Koslo, in the third inning of a game at the Polo Grounds on 4/18/47. This 8-1/2 x 7-1/2" photo bears editorial markings on the obverse, including cropping marks on either side of Robinson. Despite moderate rippling and a couple of pinholes, this historic rookie season photograph remains very attractive. In addition to the Acme credit stamp, the reverse side also bears the editorial notation "Turf, 1 Col, Robinson", followed by a circled number "4". Also appearing on the reverse, is an Acme Telephoto clipping, stamp dated "APR 19, 1947". Encapsulated by PSA with an (Authentic 1947 Type III) designation.

Opening Bid $250.
