Spitball specialist Gaylord Perry makes a pitch for a piece of your collecting budget, with this autographed 1980 Texas Rangers game-used hat. A blue wool cap with a red bill, and an embroidered Rangers "T" logo on the front, this vintage gamer bears a New Era Pro Model factory label, and a "7-1/2" size tag on the interior sweat band. Abundant authentic use is evident, with the bill cracked at the mid point, a significant degree of sweat staining on the interior band, and general moderate wear on the blue crown. The Hall of Fame hurler has signed ("6-7") on the underside of the bill. Also written thickly in black on the underside of the bill is Perry's uniform number "36", and partially faded "Perry" team identification lettering. LOA from Phil Wood.
