The debate over Hodges merits raged for more than fifty years, when his ghost was finally put at ease with his election to the Hall in 2022. A good citizen, and model of consistency as a 1950s slugging first baseman for the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers, Hodges also guided the Mets to a "Miracle" win in the 1969 World Series, as their manager. Produced by the H.S. Crocker Co. of Los Angeles, this "Mirro-Krome" postcard is a real photo type, that pictures Hodges during his days in Los Angeles. Addressed to a married couple in Kenosha, WI. this vintage card is postmark dated 11/30/59.
