Big game autograph hunters set your sights on this important Hall of Famer display. Sized at 18x19, this professionally mounted piece hosts a Ty Cobb signed check, dated 9/30/56. Drawn on the First National Bank of Reno, this very attractive check is made payable to the Pacific Gas & Electric Company in the amount of $12.78, with all written sections having been neatly and boldly applied. Cobb’s gorgeous (“10”) strength steel-tip fountain pen signature resides on the customary endorsement line at bottom right. Located above the prized check, is a print of the famous Charles Conlon photo, which captured Cobb’s aggressive steal of third base, that caused the New York Highlanders’ Jimmy Austin to miss the catcher’s throw, during a game played on 7/23/1910. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.
