A capital affair was held on 7/10/56, when the National League and American League All-Stars strutted their stuff at Griffith Stadium in Washington DC. Both the teams banged out 11 hits, however the NL squad made their knocks count for more, winning this Mid-Summer Classic by a score of 7-3. Nearly all of the AL All-Stars joined in the signing of the offered OAL/Harridge baseball, with only relief pitcher Ray Narleski, and coach Jim Turner abstaining. A proud piece from the William Turner Collection, this period-signed sphere reports in (EX) condition, with fairly distinct factory labeling stamps. A total of (27) autographs are counted, with signature strength ranging ("6" to "8"), and the date "1956" is written boldly on the reverse sweet spot.
