Typically ballplayers hit their peak around the age of thirty. Not so in case of Dwight Evans, who was the Majors from 1972-1991. Playing the first 19 of his 20 MLB seasons with the Boston Red Sox, Evans was always a solid contributor on offense and defense, but his most productive seasons came in 1984-1989, when he tallied 100 or more RBI four times. Some of the Sox socker's great success came with this autographed Cooper model C271 game-used bat in his hands. Employed during the period 1986-1991, this gamer shows excellent signs of authentic use, including numerous contact marks, bat racks streaks, and surface impressions on the barrel, along with a crack, and gripping agent residue on the handle. The bat's length 33-3/4", and weight 29.0 OZ. are stamped on the knob, and Evans uniform number 24 is written over the stamps. Well-positioned on the barrel, Evans blue felt-tip pen autograph registers as a solid ("9.5") example, and the accompanying full LOA from John Taube-PSA/DNA has assigned a game use grade of (GU 9). Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA for the autograph.

Opening Bid $100.
