In an attempt to make pro football a year-round thing, the USFL played from March to July, when the NFL and NCAA were in their off-season. Though this grand experiment saw the signing of many top talents, such as Reggie White, Steve Young, and Jim Kelly, the league folded in 1985, after three seasons of fairly decent competition. One of the USFL squads rises again, with this 1984 Pittsburgh Maulers collection of (17). A one-year wonder, the Maulers grappled for just the 1984 season, making related souvenirs fairly scarce.
