From its inception in 1932, until his death in 1969, George Preston Marshall was the owner of the Boston Braves/Washington Redskins football franchise. Voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame's inaugural class in 1963, Marshall also won NFL championships in 1937 and 1942. His distant demise makes his autograph a fairly tough acquisition, and his long association with the game, makes him an essential inclusion for an advanced autograph collection. Advance your collection, with this Marshall signature cut. Marshall's 7-8 strength signature is located on a 4-1/2 x 1" section of check, printed with "Pro-Football, Inc. Payroll Account", above his endorsement. This vintage cut is adhered to a 3x5 index card, with tape overlapping the ends, covering parts of the letter "G" at the beginning of the signature, and the letter "l" at the end.
