Generally clean covers, solid spines, and supple pages are the quality hallmarks of this superior assembly, which is highlighted by a complete 1966 national championship season run of (10), including the “Game of the Century” versus Michigan State.
Featured seasons, quantities and highlights are:
(9/10) with 11/26 at USC and their first-year coach John McKay. This program is extremely scarce due to several factors. This was the final game of the season for both teams with both squads having losing records. Also, the game was played during a major storm and most copies of the program were damaged by water so it is difficult to find copies in great condition. This copy was obtained by the original collector writing in to the Athletic Department of USC.
(10/10) with Oklahoma, Navy, Pitt, and USC;
(10/10) with 11/3 vs. Navy and their star quarterback Roger Staubach at Philadelphia Municipal Stadium, and 12/1 at national champions USC;
(10/10) with 11/2 vs. Navy/Staubach, and extremely rare 11/23 at Iowa. This game was scheduled a day after President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. The game was cancelled and most programs were never given to the public. Long considered one of the Holy Grail's of Notre Dame football programs ;
(10/10) from coach Ara Parseghian’s first season, with 10/31 vs. Navy/Staubach at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia;
(10/10) with 11/20 vs. national champions Michigan State;
(10/10) from ND national championship season, with 11/19 “Game of the Century” at No. 2 Michigan State;
(10/10) with 10/14 vs. national champions USC;
(9/10) with 11/30 at USC featuring O.J. Simpson;
(10/10) with 1/1/70 Cotton Bowl vs. national champions Texas.
