A bit of bidding magic is in order, to claim this 1948 Topps Hocus Focus Magic Photos near set of (117/126) with album. These diminutive photo cards are nicely preserved, ranging (90% VG to EX, 10% lesser), and the album is solid, with just one small surface abrasion on the left front border. A diverse array of subjects includes athletes from the sports of boxing, wrestling, basketball, football, and track and field, along with actors, and American dogs. Highlights are: James J. Jeffries, John L. Sullivan, Joe Louis, Jack Johnson, Doak Walker, Jesse Owens, Willie Pep, Jack Dempsey, George Connor, Clark Gable, Ingrid Bergman, and Lana Turner.
