Pickings were slim in the sports card department during the 1940s. One sweet alternative arrived in 1949, with the issue of the Eureka Sportsamp Album. Here we have a handsome National League Edition album, with a complete set of (200) unused stamps. This very nicely preserved album takes the bidding field in (EX-MT) state, and though two of the stamp sheets are detached, all (200) stamps report in pristine state, on intact sheets. Some of the many great NL stars represented are Warren Spahn, Roy Campanella, Gil Hodges, "Pee Wee" Reese, Jackie Robinson, Ralph Kiner, Leo Durocher, Johnny Mize, Rich Ashburn, Robin Roberts, and Stan Musial.
