The Green Arrow, Speedy, Crimson Avenger, and the rest of the Seven Soldiers of Victory take on the Wizard of Wisstark and his minions, in this 1943 DC Leading Comics #7 issue. The super-hero genre was thriving during the WWII era, and this team title was one of DC’s big hits. Only the first fourteen issues featured super-heroes however, as the genre fell out of favor when the war ended. After that, Leading Comics morphed into Leading Screen Comics, a humor series with talking animals, who finished out the 1941-1955 run. Most of what is currently available are the later humor yarns, and the super-hero issues are most definitely in short supply. This relatively hard to find #7 issue steps into the spotlight in (GD+) condition with replacement staples, and small tape repairs on the spine inside the cover.
