A lot of hoo-ha has been made over the years regarding the "Curse of the Bambino". Ever since Red Sox owner and theatrical producer Harry Frazee sold Babe Ruth to the Yankees, it was commonly believed he used the cash from the sale to finance the Broadway show "No, No, Nanette". This show may have played well in New York City, but they probably would have torched the theater, if they ever to tried to put it on in Boston. 

Whatever side you come down on, you can enjoy a colorful remembrance of the infamous musical, with this "No, No, Nanette" poster, created for the film version released in 1940. Described as a window sheet, this vintage movie promoter is a seemingly scarce 36x14 example, featuring comely actress Anna Neagle, and a youthful Victor Mature. This original RKO poster is numbered "4012/566" at bottom right, and a 1940 copyright date is printed at bottom left. A small amount of surface loss affects the bottom left corner, and several small edge tears are noted, forcing a (GD) rating. Despite these conditions, this poster remains appealing, with bold colors and fantastic graphics, including a captivating image of Neagle.
