Lot Description  



Graded Good 2 by PSA. Although better known as a hitter, Ty Cobb is depicted as manager of the Detroit Tigers on this 1922 E121 American Caramel (batting) version. This card depicts the “Georgia Peach” with a tight grip on his lumber of choice. The Series of 120 card exhibits only a pair of corner creases and an incidental surface abrasion. The corner/edge wear is moderate, while the reverse is clean with pronounced black lettering. A true Hall of Fame scarcity from the Pennsylvanian confectioner with only 52 examples having been graded by PSA.
