Ghosts of politicians past pay a visit this holiday season, with this 1950s-1970s political ephemera collection. This very interesting selection contains items mainly related to presidents, including Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. Also figuring in the mix is a substantial number of Ted Kennedy related items, several with notations written in his hand. Generally condition ranges better to excellent, however a few pieces show considerable wear.

Dossier from the Eisenhower and Kennedy White House years of items belonging to Marcelle Lecomte Drakert [1905-1998], U.S. Foreign Service officer who managed VIP visits at the U.S. Embassy in Paris. Ted Kennedy administration documents (52) largely typewritten memorandums annotated in Senator Kennedy's own hand including: Mayor of San Francisco, Houghton Chemical, Claude Desautels, Bill Hathaway, Ambassador Ferguson, other dignitaries. Together with (5) 3 x 5 inch photographs of Joan visiting Ted at his Senate Office on her way to a luncheon on March 20, 1969.12 including envelope) May 1969. From staff including Rosalie Helm to Senator EMK and all replied to in EMK's hand, Letter to Lt. Governor Paul Simon, Invitation for cocktails and a 8 x 10 inch photograph of Ted. Provenance: Rosalie Helm, assistant and friend to Senator Ted Kennedy and his wife Joan during the 1960's and 1970's.
