Weighing in at several pounds, this massive 11-1/4 x 15" volume features dozens of full page photos of boxers who spanned the bare-knuckle era, into the early gloved period. Chief among the pictured prize fighters are John L. Sullivan, James J. Corbett, Jake Kilrain, Peter Jackson, Paddy Ryan and Joe Choynski. Reinforcements along the interior cover binding and a repair on the title page are noted, otherwise this late 19th Century book is fairly solid in showing GD-VG details.
