The Ivy League blooms with this ancient Princeton vs. Yale baseball scorecard. Dated "Saturday, May 3d, 1890", this antique gameday souvenir was issued for a game at Yale Field. Listed among the participants is Yale pitcher Amos Alonzo Stagg, who was influential in shaping the games of football, basketball and baseball. Joining Stagg are several players who went on to play Major League ball during the 1890s-1900s, including his teammate Algie McBride, and Princeton stars, Fred Payne, Tommy McMillan, George McMillan and Marty Bergen. The scoring grids are neatly recorded for a 3-2 Yale win, and overall this fairly crisp scorecard presents handsomely in showing VG-EX details, however the page with the Yale scoring grid has a tape repair on the top border, with some corresponding surface loss on the back cover.
