A pair of young hotshot super-heroes heated up the comic book scene back in 1963, with this Strange Tales Annual #2. This Marvel Comics Silver Age classic brought "The Amazing Spider-Man face-to-face with The Human Torch" in a new story, mingled with reprinted tales in this vintage issue. Recently launched in August, 1962 in the pages of Adult Fantasy #15, Spider-Man was and is red-hot and the Human Torch was literally on fire, making this clash of teenage titans a popular issue that remains in high demand. This "Annual" edition also marked the first crossover appearance of our favorite wall-crawling wonder, who had just kicked-off his own "Amazing Spider-Man" solo series in March, 1963. Granted a prestigious grade of (9.2) by CGC, this prime example enjoys a Census rank of "1/12" at this level with 11 higher, out of a Universal Grade population of 380. Label notations are "Off-White to White Pages, Stan Lee story, Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko art, Jack Kirby cover, Early Spider-Man appearance and 1st crossover, Invisible Girl appearance".
