Comic connoisseurs hit the mark with this major key issue. Presented is a top shelf example of Superboy #68 with the first appearance of "Bizarro". Even non-comic readers are familiar with this "anti-Superman" character, popularized by comedian Jerry Seinfeld with numerous Bizarro references in a 1996 episode of his long-running self-named sitcom titled "The Bizarro Jerry". This super-villain's 10/58 debut in Superboy #68 led to ongoing appearances in Superman related comics, resulting in a Bizarro World populated by all kinds of Bizarro characters.
This important early Silver Age key issue comic has been held in deep storage for decades and maintained in remarkable condition. Testifying to the highly favorable state of this new to the market example, is the recently supplied CGC grade of (9.0), which is good for the top spot on the leading certification service's Census, as "1/2" with none higher out of a Universal Grade population of 366. Label notations include "Off-White Pages, Otto Binder story, George Papp art, Curt Swan and Stan Kaye cover, Origin and 1st appearance of Bizarro". In 2008 the other 9.0 graded example of this Superboy #68 issue sold for $25,000, making the starting point for this equivalent top grade example seem extremely welcoming.
