Produced in 1990-1992, this elegantly appointed postcard set pays homage to four antique card issues that originated during the period 1888-1911 and also includes an original fifth type from the Perez-Steele Galleries. This truly masterful series spotlights ten illustrious HOF stars who graced the playing field from the 1920s-1980s, with Yogi Berra, Charlie Gehringer, Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, Johnny Mize, Duke Snider, Warren Spahn, Willie Stargell, Ted Williams and Carl Yastrzemski. The five card types represented are 1888 Goodwin Champions, 1908 Rose Co., 1909 Ramly, 1911 T205 “Gold Borders” and the 1990-1992 PSG original design, each with an example of the ten stars listed above. This adds up to fifty player postcards and with the addition of two checklists, a complete set totals fifty-two cards.

Included are (46/52) possible Master Works cards with all (40) of the antique tribute types and (6) of the PSG original cards with (5) player cards and the 1992 2nd Series checklist. The (1) absent sheet of (6) cards is the PSG type featuring Gehringer, Mantle, Mays, Snider, Spahn and the 1990 1st Series checklist. This near-set comes with (2) manila storage envelopes with Master Works labels handwritten with corresponding LE set numbers.
