While several thousand 1952 Topps "rookie" and 1952 Bowman second-year Mantle cards have surfaced on the secondary market, a total of four of these fragile die-cut relics have been judged by PSA. "The Mick" shows his pearly whites as he emerges from a star designed setting while the delicate die-cut red edges are unchipped with nary a tear or other serious surface imperfections. All eight of the corner points are virtually untouched. Reverse residue from the original packaging accounts for the technical grade with none of the other specimens surpassing the offered copy.
