Following a tremendous breakout season in 1959, Harmon Killebrew continued to establish himself as one of the greatest power hitters of his day in what would be the original Senators franchise final year of play in Washington. “The Killer’s” prodigious efforts were recognized by Post Cereal in 1960 by inclusion in a small series of nine card panels featured on the back of Post Grape Nuts cereal boxes. Offered is a stunning Killebrew panel from this rare series. This handsome 6-3/4 x 8-1/2” panel is designated Authentic by Beckett Grading Service. This grade must be derived from the fact that the panel required hand-cutting from the original package, as otherwise this striking example shows abundant original detail, presenting as factory fresh. The youthful Killebrew is depicted in portrait style in his Senators uniform with a facsimile autograph at lower left, framed by a  wood grain design with nameplate and bottom center.
