A respected third baseman known for his “no quit” determination, George “Buck” Weaver is sadly best remembered as one of the “eight men out” from the 1919 Chicago “Black Sox” team. Weaver is shown here in a 1912 T207 tobacco card with Broadleaf Cigarettes back. Also known as the “Brown Backgrounds” series, this fairly tough set is always in demand and Weaver‘s notoriety keeps his card well within the target zone. This colorized batting pose card is encapsulated and graded 30 Good 2 by SGC, assuring both its quality and continued preservation.
