From a minor league system that produced such stars as Ripken, Murray and a host of stellar pitchers, these (5) jerseys were worn by “Baby Birds,” if you will, who honed their skills in hopes of getting to Baltimore. Showing light to moderate wear, the garments include: 1979 Miami Amigos: rare one-season jersey; 1980s Hagerstown Suns: Class A Carolina League; 1994 Rochester Red Wings: worn and signed by Rick Krivda; 1990s Bowie Baysox: worn by Kevin Ryan; 2000s Ottawa Lynx: Class AAA International League. More on our website.

1979 Miami Amigos Class AAA Inter-American League Jersey: a green knit pullover garment with “MIAMI AMIGOS” sewn to the front in gold-on-red twill and “3” sewn to the back and right front in like fashion. Green-gold-and-red striped stretch ribbed knit lines the sleeve endings, while red-and-gold striped stretch ribbed cotton lines the V-neck. The tapered left front tail is home to a “Rawlings” size “40” label. This is a rare survivor from a team and league that began in the spring of 1979 and ceased operations in June of that same year. The Amigos were led by player/manager Davey Johnson and also fielded former Orioles Bob Reynolds (who led the league in saves that year) and Mickey Weston, as well as pitcher Mike Wallace, who posted a stellar 11-1 mark that year. The Amigos were 51-21 and declared champions when the league folded. The jersey shows light wear with no repairs or alterations. The tagging dates to 1972-1984 and, coupled with the style, dates specifically to that partial season.

1980s Hagerstown Suns Class A Carolina League Jersey: an orange knit pullover garment with “Hagerstown” angled across the chest in black-and-white appliqué and “32” displayed on the back and left front in like fashion. Orange-white-and-black striped stretch ribbed knit lines the V-neck and sleeve endings, while the collar’s interior is home to a “Felco” size “X-Large” label. All original and unaltered, the jersey shows moderate wear with minor flaking about the appliqué components.

Rick Krivda 1994 Rochester Red Wings Class AAA International League Signed Game-Worn Home Jersey: a white knit button-down garment with “Red Wings” angled across the chest in red-on-black twill, “11” sewn to the back and left front and “KRIVDA” arched on a nameplate atop the back number in like fashion. Just below the front number, Krivda has signed in black marker (“8” strength) and inscribed “#11.” Black-and-red striped stretch ribbed knit lines the sleeve endings, while an MLB silhouette logo 100th anniversary patch adorns the right sleeve. A “Rawlings” size “46” tag resides within the collar, while the tapered left front tail is home to a “Rawlings” size “46” label. All-original and unaltered, the jersey exhibits evidence of moderate wear with minor fraying about the twill components.

Kevin Ryan 1993-1996 Bowie Baysox Class AA Eastern League Game-Worn Home Jersey: a white knit button-down garment with “Baysox” angled across the chest in orange-on-black twill, “40” sewn to the back and left front in like fashion and “RYAN” arched on a nameplate atop the back number in solid black appliqué. Orange-and-black striped stretch ribbed knit lines the sleeve endings, while the tapered left front tail is home to a “Rawlings” size “46” label and a “3 INCH EXTRA LENGTH” tag. Excellent game wear is evident with color fading and puckering about the twill components.

2000s Ottawa Lynx Class AAA International League Road Jersey: a gray knit button-down garment with “Ottawa” sewn across the chest in black-n-red twill, “22” sewn to the back in like fashion and to the front in red-on-black twill. Black piping lines the collar, button path and sleeve endings, while the back of the collar is home to a league logo patch. Just above the back number, Canadian and American flags are embroidered to a white patch. Within the collar, a “Rawlings” size “48” label is accompanied by a fabric content flap tag. The tapered left front tail is home to a “Rawlings” label. Light wear is evident.
