As tight-fitting uniforms, loud color schemes and synthetic stadiums invaded Major League Baseball, team-issued jackets followed suit. These (4) examples hail from the 1970s and 1980s. The all-original button-down garments showcase twill identifiers and proper tagging. Included are: Baltimore Orioles (“Harv-al” tagging); Cincinnati Reds (“Wilson” tagging); Los Angeles Dodgers (“Felco” tagging); and Oakland A’s (“Pacesetter/Majestic” tagging). More on our website.

1970s Baltimore Orioles Jacket: a black knit button-down garment with orange panels lining the shoulders, two front pockets and “Orioles” sewn across the chest in orange twill. Black-and-orange striped stretch ribbed knit lines the collar, waistline and sleeve endings, while the collar’s interior is home to a “Harv-al” size “XL” label and a fabric content flap tag. A predecessor to the “Starter” satin-like versions, this one is a real beauty and shows minimal wear!

1978-1985 Cincinnati Reds Jacket: a red satin-like button-down garment with two front pockets, “CINCINNATI” arched across the chest in white twill and a “C-REDS” logo sewn to the left sleeve in white-on-red twill. Red-and-white striped stretch ribbed knit lines the collar, waistline and sleeve endings. Within the quilt-lined collar, a “Wilson” size “46” label is accompanied by a cloth hanger. Moderate wear is evident with puckering about the front twill identifiers.

1980s Los Angeles Dodgers Jacket: a blue satin-like button-down garment with two front pockets, and Dodgers” sewn across the chest in white twill. Blue-and-white striped stretch ribbed knit lines the 4”-wide collar, waistline and sleeve endings. Within the quilt-lined collar, a “Felco” size “X-Large” label is accompanied by an MLB silhouette logo tag. Moderate wear is evident with puckering and faint dirt stains about the front twill identifiers.

1970s-1980s Oakland A’s Jacket: a green satin-like button-down garment with two front pockets and “A’s” sewn to the left breast in white-on-yellow twill. Green-yellow-and-white striped stretch ribbed knit lines the collar and sleeve endings. Within the collar, a vintage “Pacesetter” label has a “Majestic” identifier and is accompanied by a size “XL” manufacturer’s tag and a “union made” tag. Gold-colored fur lines the interior, while yellow accents line the pocket openings. Moderate wear is evident.
