Longtime baseball fans and card collectors experience déjà vu all over again with this incredible collection of (79) c.1960 Don Wingfield photographs. Professional sports photographer Wingfield’s resume includes Topps trading cards, the Washington Senators, the Sporting News and Look Magazine, positioning his works among the most familiar of the 1950s-60s. Highlighting this top quality lot are the photos used for (2) 1960 Topps cards: #115 “Fork & Knuckler” and #399 “Young Hill Stars”; (8) J. DiMaggio; and (4) T. Williams. More on our website.

Generally this exceptional lot presents in like-new condition with unblemished images, white to off-white borders, abundant original gloss and overall clean surfaces. Reverse side provenance appears in the form of original Wingfield proprietary stampings, many dated 1960. Occasional slight corner/border wear has negligible impact on these archive quality photos.

Some of the other Yankee greats pictured with DiMaggio are Berra, Ford, Henrich, Houk, Keller, Reynolds and Stengel.

Also present are:

Mantle with Fain, Rosen, D. DiMaggio and Jensen, most likely taken at the 1952 All-Star Game.
