In a welcome variation from the District of Columbia’s “First in war, first in peace, last in the American League” mantra, not even those “Damn Yankees” could stop the Washington Senators in 1924. Champions of the junior circuit by a two-game margin, the club appropriately issued this World Series ticket block with vouchers to Games 1, 2, 6 and 7. Measuring 2-3/4 x 9”, the ticket stock relic features sturdy perforations separating the tickets. Printed identifiers, “Rain Check” details and owner Clark Griffith’s facsimile signature accent three of the tickets. Atop the group, the lone example with seat identifiers was issued for the decisive Game 7. Printed details on the reverse instruct the bearer regarding attendance and refunds. This crease-free artifact presents minimally (EX-MT) and hails from the club's first and only championship!

Note: (4) hole punchings were likely rendered by the Griffith Stadium box office upon completion of the series. This unusual October prize is a solid candidate for third-party grading.
