Former and future big leaguers along with those would permanently toiled in obscurity are profiled on this striking 1905 Weasner Studios (Buffalo, New York) team composite featuring (120) players and (8) managers from the eight participating squads including Baltimore, Buffalo, Jersey City, Montreal, Newark, Providence, Rochester and Toronto. Measuring nearly 15x13, the sepia-toned display piece recalls earlier major league composites by Carl Horner. Acclaimed skippers such as Jack Dunn, Hughie Jennings and George Stallings are flanked by their players over nine neatly arranged rows. Due to exposure, age-induced abrasions, image fading and an inch-long contusion along the lower right portion is evident. The piece has also been adhered to a modern matte. Several players were ultimately pictured on the 1909-11 T206 White Borders issue.
