Known to befriend thousands (especially where food and merriment were concerned), Babe Ruth was true to his style with the proprietor of New York’s Benny’s Rainbow Restaurant. Fraternizing in the eponymously dubbed “House That Ruth Built” during the early-1930s, the two were captured in this gorgeous Type I photograph. The double weight stock item has been trimmed to approximately 6-1/2 x 9” and depicts a firm handshake with Ruth in his Yankee attire and Benny clad in suit, necktie and fedora. Well kept, this one is crease free with a blank reverse.
