Graded 45 VG+ 3.5 by SGC. E.C. "Sam" Rice is the Hall of Fame subject of this 1922 W575-1 strip card with a desirable Henry A. Johnson back stamp. Legend holds that the California confectioner purchased multiple uncut sheets of the W575-1 designation and added their own back stamp as a means of advertising. Absent of a population support, it is unknown how many of this scarce variant are in existence. What is known is that only two total Rice examples have been judged by the grading service with this specimen being the highest evaluated. Classic 90 year-old Type card with a firmly stamped back.
