Please note: the catalog description has been modified to reflect the A's team signed baseball is in fact from 1951 and not 1950
Pete Rose Signed Phillies Home Jersey a pro model replica jersey, this white knit zippered garment has a red pinstripe pattern and maroon trim lining the shoulders/sides. The club’s cursive “P” logo is sewn to the left breast in maroon twill while “14” is sewn to the back and right front in like fashion. In maroon block-style twill characters, “ROSE” is arched on a nameplate atop the back number. Within the cotton-lined collar, “Rose” is stitched on a strip tag. The tapered left front tail is home to a “Wilson” size “44” label and swatch tag with “81-2” stitched identifiers. On the left-side front, Rose’s black marker autograph projects (“9”) strength and clarity (full PSA/DNA). While some elements are consistent with actual game-worn jerseys, the tagging on this souvenir does not match Phillies gamers of that era. This was, in all likelihood, obtained from Whitey Willenburg, who befriended Rose, Carlton and Schmidt in an agent capacity. While there is a possibility that jerseys obtained from Willenburg were worn during team workouts, they are not game used or team issued. The PSA/DNA LOA is for the autograph only.
