In admiration and thanks on May 14, 1967, the New York Yankees issued gold-colored charms to all mothers going through the turnstiles to that afternoon’s game against the Baltimore Orioles. Presented in one such souvenir from that day. In its original plastic case, the 1-1/4”-diameter relic features the club’s stars-and-stripes themed “top hat” logo and “MOTHER’S DAY 1967” in raised letters. In addition to this prize, the ladies were treated to Mickey Mantle’s 500th career home run that day.
Accompanying are portions of the original cardboard box.
