Noted for their scarcity, Southern Leaguers are among the most desirable for those collecting "The Monster". With only 72 examples graded, the offered Al Orth has achieved epic status as one of only four to have been graded an SGC 70 with none higher. Sharing the technical grade with only three equal examples, this specimen maintains immense eye-appeal amidst a vibrant semi-pastel background. Found with an Old Mill backing, this exemplar reveals minor corner and edge wear and is centered to the top. Despite these degradations, the technical grade is appropriate for this attractive Virginia Leaguer.
