Game-Worn Jerseys

Ramon Henderson a post-2001 road jersey, this gray knit button-down garment features “Phillies” embroidered across the chest in red cursive on a white twill plate (with blue five-point stars to dot the “i’s”). In red-on-white double twill, “31” is sewn to the back and left sleeve and “HENDERSON” is arched on a nameplate atop the back number in like fashion. Red-and-white striped stretch ribbed cotton lines the sleeve endings, an MLB silhouette logo patch adorns the base of the neck and, situated on the left front tail, a “Majestic” label is accompanied by a size “48” flap tag. Within the left side seam, a fabric content tag has a “0062” gamer code. Moderate wear is evident with minor pilling on the right front.

Anderson Machado a 2004 white knit button-down home jersey with a red pinstripe pattern; “Phillies” is embroidered across the chest in red cursive on a white twill plate (with blue five-point stars to dot the “i’s”). In red-on-white double twill, “12” is sewn to the back and left sleeve and “MACHADO” is arched atop the back number in like fashion. An MLB silhouette logo patch is sewn to the base of the neck, while the right sleeve is home to a Citizens Bank Park “Inaugural Season” logo patch and an additional patch paying respect to fallen teammates Paul Owens and Tug McGraw. On the tapered left front tail, a “Majestic” label is accompanied by a size “46” flap tag. Within the left side seam, a fabric content tag has a “0062” gamer code. The jersey shows minimal wear and was likely issued to Machado during spring training, as he never played for the parent club that season and was dealt to Cincinnati in July.

Ron Oester a 2002-2003 red mesh alternate jersey, this button-down garment features “Phillies” embroidered across the chest in red cursive on a white twill plate (with blue five-point stars to dot the “i’s”). In solid white twill, “83” is sewn to the back and “OESTER” is arched just above. An MLB silhouette logo patch is sewn to the base of the neck and red-and-white striped stretch ribbed cotton lines the sleeve endings. On the left front tail, a “Majestic” label is accompanied by a size “48” flap tag and the left side seam’s interior is home to a fabric content tag with a “0006” gamer code. The jersey shows light wear. Oester was a minor league hitting instructor and wore this garment in that capacity or possibly during spring training.

Elio Serrano s 2001-2002 spring training alternate jersey, this red mesh button-down garment features “Phillies” embroidered across the chest in red cursive on a white twill plate (with blue five-point stars to dot the “i’s”). In solid white twill, “67” is sewn to the back and “SERRANO” is arched just above. An MLB silhouette logo patch is sewn to the base of the neck and blue piping lines the shoulders. An appliqué “Majestic” label resides on the left front tail, a size “48” flap tag is sewn to the outer left side seam and in the left side seam’s interior features a fabric content tag with a “0065” gamer code. This warm-weather apparel was worn during spring training, as Serrano never made the parent club. Light wear with minimal fraying about the twill elements.
