Offered is a scarce, surviving program from the infamous 1919 Cincinnati Reds vs. Chicago White Sox World Series. The binding has been repaired with tape, and the cover and inner pages reveal moderate to significant wear. Pages 23 through 26 are missing from the centerfold, which included the Reds scorecard. Despite being in (GD) condition, this souvenir relic is an excellent opportunity to own a treasure from one of baseball’s biggest scandals.

The controversy that arose after the conclusion of this series marred the image and public trust of professional baseball for decades. This program was published for Game 1, 2, 6 or 7 played at Redland/Crosley Field in Cincinnati. The “Black Sox” scorecard featuring the names of Joe Jackson, Buck Weaver, Chick Gandil and other Black Sox conspirators is in (VG-EX) condition.
