Hulk's early history goes like this. A 1962-1963 brief solo title run went 6 issues. He then showed in The Avengers, various guest appearances, and shared space in the Tales to Astonish anthology series, which terminated with issue #101. Marvel went on a big expansion spree in 1968, angering the big green monster back into his own solo title. This move continued the Tales to Astonish run numbering which brings us to this 4/68 The Incredible Hulk #102 comic book. Purchased by a gleeful Philadelphia youth at his local newsstand, this late Silver Age key has carefully been spared from mother's trash heap, dad's fireplace kindling, basement floods, and other comic book natural disasters, to be brought forth with a recent CGC-provided grade of (6.5, Cream to Off-White Pages). CGC's label notes are "Gary Friedrich story, Marie Severin and George Tuska art, Marie Severin and Frank Giacoia cover. Continued from Tales to Astonish #101. Warriors Three, Enchantress and Odin appearance. Origin of Hulk retold."
