Marvel Comics success story is an open book. When Stan Lee and company delved into the super-hero genre with the introduction of the Fantastic Four in 1961, many readers were opening their comic books and making strong connections with the characters. The parade of heroes that followed were dealing with issues many could identify with. Peter Parker suffered terrible teenage angst. Anger management was a big-time struggle for Bruce Banner. The mutant X-Men were forced to rise above staggering discrimination.

One of the most interesting cases is Matt Murdoch. A resident of gritty Hell's Kitchen, young Matt lost his sight while saving a man's life from an out of control truck. This heroic action also resulted in the heightening of his other senses, enabling him to assume the Daredevil persona as an adult. This compelling origin story was first told in the offered 4/64 Marvel Daredevil #1 issue. This first appearance Silver Age classic is graded (1.5, Off-White Pages) by CGC. Label notes are "Stan Lee story, Bill Everett art, Bill Everett and Jack Kirby cover. Origin and 1st appearance of Daredevil (Matt Murdoch). 1st appearance of Karen Page and Foggy Nelson."

Opening Bid $400.
