Heroes of the past are glorified, with this 1982 Cracker Jack Old Timers Classic original artwork by Wayland Moore. Created for a 7/19/82 Old Timers exhibition game at Washington's RFK Stadium, this 11-1/2 x 15-1/2" panel is a mock-up version of the artwork for the front cover of the event's program, which was printed with a revised version of this work. Editorial notations are located on the top and bottom of the obverse, and multiple notations are also written on the reverse. Artist Moore has signed and dated "82" at bottom-left, and overall this solid piece reports in excellent condition. Accompanying is an example of the game's program (NM) with the revised cover.
