Focus in on an ancient baseball squad, with this 1904 St. Louis Cardinals team photograph supplement. Sized at 13-1/2" x 9-1/2", this cardboard-backed photo is centered on an 18x12 matted display. Hall of Famers "Kid" Nichols and Jake Buckley, who led this team in pitching and hitting respectively, are seated next to each other at center in the first row. Numerous creases are likely the reason this antique supplement is adhered to a cardboard backer, and they certainly provide a period authentic look. This same photo was used for the Cardinals example appearing in the same year's Sporting Boiler Supplements series, which were sized a bit smaller at 8-3/4" x 11". Positive dating is also supported by the inclusion of players Joe Corbett and "She" Donahue, who were only with the Cardinals for the 1904 season.
