A wealth of prized signatures is presented, with this 1927 Hall of Famer and star autograph display. In 1927, "Babe" Ruth famously belted 60 home runs, "Murderer's Row" mowed 'em down with regularity, and the New York Yankees won 110 games, before sweeping the Pittsburgh Pirates in the World Series to be considered the greatest team of all-time. Just across the Harlem River, the New York Giants fared pretty well that same season, falling just 2 games short in the hunt for the NL Pennant. Framed to overall dimensions of 12x21, this display piece houses (12) period autographs on ten overlapped notebook pages measuring approximately 3-1/2" x 5-1/2". All of those represented, played for either the Yankees, Giants, or Pirates. Aged for quite nearly a full century, these treasured autographs remain very pleasing, averaging ("8" to "9") potency.

Topping the list of signers, is the legendary "Babe" Ruth (HOF, d.1948). Rivaling "The Babe" in terms of dollar value, is Urban Shocker, who died very young in 1928, at the age of 37, making his signature a seriously tough acquisition. Other 1927 Yankees are Herb Pennock (HOF, d.1948), Bennie Bengough (d.1968), "Dutch" Ruether (d.1970), and Pat Collins (d.1960). 1927 Giants players are "Dutch" Henry (d.1968), Al DeVormer (d.1966), George Harper (d.1970), Heinie Mueller (d.1975), and "Zack" Taylor (d.1974). The lone 1927 Pirates representative is Roy Spencer (d.1973). These autographs are all accompanied by written notes from the original collector, with most dated "1927", The frame is in like-new condition, and ready for immediate wall placement.
