A tough and highly prized Hall of Famer autograph surfaces with this Honus Wagner cut signature. The tough part of the equation comes from Wagner having departed nearly seventy years ago, way back in 1955. The prized factor comes from “The Flying Dutchman’s” on field excellence as one of the greatest players the game of baseball has ever seen. Measuring approximately 3-1/4 x 2-3/4”, this vintage cut is fairly well-centered on durable paper stock. Wagner’s black ink, steel-tip fountain pen signature is a bold example, projecting all you could ask for (“10”) strength. A circular impression ringing the “H” in Wagner’s given name appears to be a postmark, likely transferred through from an envelope, suggesting the cut was taken from a letter. This condition is unobtrusive and does not detract from this absolutely stunning Wagner autograph. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA. Opening Bid $250.
