Stylish Gotham City journalist Vicki Vale is a bit miffed on the cover of this 10-11/53 DC Batman issue #79 comic book. That's because this pre-code comic sees Batman and faithful sidekick Robin dashing off in answer to the "Bat-Signal" just as she and her "Bat-Flame" are about to pick out a wedding ring. Introduced five years earlier, Vicki was at the height of her Gold Age prominence when this classic issue was published. "Bat-Fans" will find satisfaction with the CGC furnished (3.5, "Off-White Pages") grade. Also appearing in this ancient issue is professor Carter Nichols.
