The Grand Rapids Chicks were perennial contenders in the AAGPBL, making the playoffs every season during their 1945-1954 existence, and winning championships in 1947 and 1953. Leading off we have a 1947 AAGPBL Grand Rapids Chicks championship trophy. Standing 13" tall, this vintage award features a dynamic female figure leaping for a catch on a pedestal outfitted with an engraved brass ring. The base has a crack, with a spot of adhesive residue, but otherwise this piece remains attractive.
