While singles from this anonymous maker series are fairly scarce, finding an intact panel of these perforated cards is a special event. Finding a group of panels such as this offering just may be a unique experience. Formatted in pinwheel fashion, these 5" x 5" panels are comprised with (4) 2" x 3" cards per panel, centered by a 1" x 1" title card, printed with "Airplane Series - Cut apart along perforated lines. Buy 'em - Save 'em - Trade 'em." A complete set totals 40 cards and this group accounts for 50% of the total with (20) different cards. The style of these fascinating aviation cards is reminiscent of the 1920s strip card issues in a larger format.

1.) Panel with cards #9, #10, #11 Glenn H. Curtiss, #12, card 12 is creased, the others are (EX-MT to NM), and the back is clean;



2.) Panel with cards #13, #14, #15 Colin P. Kelly, #16, cards 13 and 16 are creased, the others are (EX-MT), 13 also has a small stain on the back;



3.) Panel with cards #25, #26, #27 Howard Hughes, #28, cards 25 and 28 are lightly creased, the others, including Hughes are (EX+ to EX-MT), all have small stains on the back;



4.) Panel with cards #33, #34, #35 Richard E. Byrd, #36, all (4) cards are lightly to moderately creased, 33 has a small stain on the back;



5.) Panel with cards #37, #38, #39 Charles A. Lindbergh, #40, all (4) cards are lightly to moderately creased and the Lindbergh card is considerably stained on the back, along with traces of residue that appear to be transferred from the obverse of another card.
