With a 5-9 record, 1977 was another grim season for the Philadelphia Eagles and their long-suffering fans. However, with fired-up head coach Dick Vermeil on hand, things were about to change, with Eagles becoming contenders for the next four seasons, including an appearance in Super Bowl XV. Many of the star players Vermeil molded into a playoffs squad have contributed autographs to the offered 1977 Eagles team-signed football. An Eagles team logo model made by Wilson, this ball is rock solid, though the Wilson labeled factory panel is indented around the inflating orifice.
A total of (21) autographs range ("6" to "9") in potency, with:
Eagles logo panel: Dennis Franks, Herm Edwards, John "Deac" Sanders, Harold Carmichael (HOF), Vince Papale and Larry Marshall;
Panel below eagles logo: Pete Lazetich, Rocco Moore, Keith Krepfle, Roman Gabriel, Stan Walters, John Outlaw and Wally Henry;
Wilson logo panel: John Walton, John Bunting, Drew Mahalic, Jerry Sizemore, Charlie Smith and one undetermined;
Panel below Wilson logo: Ron Jaworski and Bill Bergey.
