Two of the greatest NCAA and NBA players created one of the greatest basketball rivalries. It started in the 1979 NCAA Championship Game and continued through their Hall of Fame careers. They both made the cover of Sports Illustrated when they were in college, Magic Johnson on the Nov. 28, 1977, issue, and Larry Bird, a year later, on the Nov. 27. 1978, issue.
