A first-ballot lock for Hall of Fame enshrinement, Max Scherzer is one of the elite pitchers of baseball’s current generation. Bring a small bit of Scherzer’s legacy into your fold, with this circa 2015-2020 game-worn Washington Nationals cap. “Mad Max” was at the top of his game during his days with the Nats, and he was a key figure in the club’s first ever World Series championship in 2019. This lightly used cap presents as nearly pristine, with a crisp shape, and a bright white Washington “W” logo against a vibrant red field. Spanning the rear of the interior sweat band are MLB Authentic Collection, New Era, and size “7-3/8” labels. A U.S. flag patch is located on the exterior left side, indicating this cap was worn by Scherzer during a July 4th game, with the accompanying LOA suggesting it was a day he did not pitch, as he typically perspires profusely, and this hat is free from sweat stains. A touching tribute to his deceased brother is seen under the brim, where “31, Alexander, 4” are written, for Scherzer’s uniform number, his brother’s name, and the 4 possibly indicating the date of use. LOA from Phil Wood.

Opening Bid $150.
