One of the best players not in the Hall of Fame, Fred Lynn was a solid contributor both offensively and defensively throughout his 17-year MLB career. Lynn was an American League All-Star in each of his first 9 full seasons (1975-1983). From his final season as an All-Star, comes this Lynn autographed game-used bat. A Louisville Slugger M110 signature model, this prized gamer saw plenty of action during the '83 season when Lynn was with the California Angels. The accompanying LOA from PSA/DNA assigns a favorable game use grade of (GU 8), citing "The bat exhibits moderate to heavy use and possesses identifiable player use characteristics." Said use is noted as "Moderate to heavy use with a handle crack. Some checking (grain swelling) from repeated ball contact is on the back barrel." Lynn's uniform number "19" is written on the knob and considerable gripping agent and tape residue coat the handle. Lynn has signed boldly ("8.5") on the barrel, by means of a black felt-tip pen. Full LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA for game use. Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA for the autograph. Opening Bid $100.
