Large and in charge manager Dallas Green is remembered with this 1979-1981 game-worn Philadelphia Phillies nylon warm-up jacket. A well-worn label inside the collar retains just enough integrity to detect the maker and size “Wilson, 48.” While no specific identifiers are present, there is a paper tag attached to the collar with “Dallas Green” written on it. The jacket type was not made available for sale to the public and the size is appropriate to Green’s 6’ 5” height. Heavy use/wear is evident, including partial detachment of the Phillies logo on the front, holes at both ends of the left side pocket, considerable paint wear on the snap buttons, decreased elasticity on the waistband, cuffs, and collar, and extensive soiling on the sleeves. A no holds barred skipper, the fiery Green led the Phillies to the first World Series championship in franchise history during the remarkable 1980 season. LOA from Phil Wood.
